OB/GYN Clinics

CircleArrow_15px.png  23,000 women served since 1999

Two Holy Cross Health clinics are dedicated to supporting women from the beginning of their pregnancy—to the birth of a healthy baby. The Holy Cross Hospital OB/GYN Clinic and the Holy Cross Germantown Hospital OB Clinic provide critical prenatal and follow-up care to women who are enrolled in one of the following Maryland Medicaid MCO plans:

  • Wellpoint
  • Maryland Physicians Care
  • Aetna Better Health of Maryland
  • UnitedHealthcare Community Plan

Holy Cross Health has a longstanding commitment to serving women in our community. Since 1963, we have been a leading provider of prenatal, obstetric, and gynecologic care for women in need throughout the county. Prior to the implementation of the Health Benefit Exchange Act (HBEA) in 2023, Holy Cross Health was the primary source of comprehensive care for many uninsured women, ensuring access to high‑quality services regardless of financial circumstances.

From 1999 through 2023, Holy Cross Health provided care to more than 23,000 women through the Maternity Partnership Program, achieving a significantly lower incidence of low‑birth‑weight newborns compared with regional benchmarks.

Full service from the experts

Clinic patients receive the same high quality, sophisticated care that has made Holy Cross Health the region’s busiest birthing center. Our maternity services teams deliver more than 10,000 babies each year.

Our patients receive a full range of services, including prenatal care and post-delivery services. The Holy Cross Hospital clinic also provides general and specialty gynecologic services for women of any age with one of the listed insurance plans or Holy Cross financial assistance. All new gyn patients must be Montgomery County residents and have a referral from a Holy Cross primary care provider, or referral through the Breast and Cervical Cancer Diagnosis and Treatment Program (BCCDTP) or Primary Care Coalition of Montgomery County (PCCMC) program.

Convenient, culturally accessible

The clinic locations make care convenient—with close-by public transportation services. Women come to the OB/GYN Clinics for prenatal care at any point during pregnancy, although most have nine visits leading up to their delivery. Babies are delivered at Holy Cross Hospital or Holy Cross Germantown Hospital, which both offer the same expertise and full-service, compassionate and comprehensive maternity services.

To meet the needs of our diverse patient community, bilingual staff and language services are available to provide culturally competent, high‑quality care. Holy Cross Health also offers an extensive perinatal education program that includes classes in Spanish.
